Anonymous voting

RatePOTUS does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other directly identifying information when you vote.

Duplicate vote prevention

To limit duplicate daily votes, our API creates an irreversible fingerprint from your IP address, User-Agent string, and a server-side salt. This fingerprint cannot be reversed to identify you, and is used only to apply rate limits.

Optional demographics

You may optionally provide self-reported demographic information (such as political affiliation or age group). These fields are never shown individually — only aggregated in public breakdowns. You can skip any or all demographic questions.

Comments

If you leave an optional comment with your vote, it may be displayed publicly alongside your score and the date. Comments are not linked to your identity.

Local storage

RatePOTUS stores a simple flag in your browser's local storage to remember if you voted today and to track your optional voting streak. This stays on your device.
